Our goal on photo day is to capture a beautiful variety of 10–15 images of your child, giving families a lovely mix of natural portraits and candid kindy play moments to choose from.

We photograph outdoors whenever possible, using your child’s own kindergarten or childcare environment as the backdrop. Swings, slides, forts, bikes, and climbing equipment all help create genuine, joyful images that reflect your child’s everyday world. We don’t bring props or equipment — your centre’s play spaces provide everything we need.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we move to verandahs or indoor areas and focus on activities like drawing, painting, reading, blocks, or imaginative play. These quieter moments often create just as much magic.

Because our schedule is very full each term, photo days can’t be rescheduled due to weather — but we always adapt to make the most of the spaces available.

Every child is different, and we work at their pace. We aim to spend the same amount of time with each child, but if someone is feeling shy or unsure, we give them space and gently look for opportunities to photograph them doing something they enjoy.

Your gallery will include colour images first, followed by beautifully edited black and white versions — not just simple desaturation, but carefully crafted timeless edits.

The result? A relaxed, natural collection of images that truly capture your child at this stage of their life.
